We understand your struggle, dear friend, and we are here to lift you up in prayer and remind you of the truths found in God's Word.
In Exodus 14:14, God tells His people, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall be still." It's a powerful reminder that our battles are not our own, but God's. However, letting go and trusting God to fight for us can indeed be challenging.
First, let us pray together:
"Father God, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to let go and let You fight their battles. We ask, Lord, that You calm their mind and thoughts, and strengthen their faith. Help them to trust in Your promises and to rest in Your love and care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, Jesus taught us in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It's important to understand that letting go doesn't mean we become passive, but rather, we actively choose to trust God and follow His lead. As Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB) encourages us, "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
Lastly, we encourage you to continually fix your eyes on Jesus. As Hebrews 12:2 (WEB) reminds us, "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep letting go. God is faithful, and He will fight for you.
