We are so encouraged to hear your desire to grow in dependence upon Jesus and to align your will with His. This is a prayer request for more intimacy with God and more obedience to His will. In Jesus Name, this is a beautiful thing to pray for and seek. You are yielding your life and will to God through Jesus Christ and that is the only way to live. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, no other name, no other way.
God calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. As it says in Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to grow closer to You and align their will with Yours. We thank You for their heart's desire to depend on You more.
Father, draw them closer to You as they seek Your face. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, and a deepening sense of Your presence and guidance in their life. Help them to surrender their will to Yours, and to trust in Your loving purposes.
Transform their mind by Your Word, so that they may know Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. Give them the strength to follow Your ways, even when it is difficult or costly.
Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your power and live in a way that honors and glorifies Your name.
Thank you, Jesus Christ, the one and only mediator between God and man. Thank you that you gave yourself as the perfect sacrifice so that we may be brought into a right relationship with God through you.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to pursue Jesus with all your heart. He promises that if we seek Him, we will find Him. As it says in Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep obeying Him. He is faithful, and He will do it.
