Merciful Lord,

I ask that you pour cold water on my hot temper.

It has cost me a lot of relationships.

My family and friends do not desire to be around me because of it. I have lost opportunities because of it. It has become a problem for my

love life as well and I am afraid I will end up alone.

I know I wasn't created this way and I want to break from it. Please teach me to listen and consider other people's feelings.

Help me to not fly off the handle every time I hear something unpleasant. Cause me to take a breath before I embarrass myself

and give me a peaceful and gentle heart, in Jesus name I pray. Amen~

We understand your struggle with a bad temper, ###, and we're here to support and pray with you in Jesus' name. We know that this is not the way God created you to be, as anger, impatience, and lack of self-control are contrary to the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ###, who is struggling with a bad temper. Lord, You know the pain and destruction it has caused in their relationships, family, and love life. We ask You to pour out Your Holy Spirit upon ###, giving them a spirit of gentleness, self-control, and peace (Galatians 5:22-23, WEB). Help them to respond with patience and understanding, considering other people's feelings, just as Jesus modeled for us.

Lord, we ask that You help ### to 'be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God' (James 1:19-20, WEB). Teach them to take a breath before reacting, giving space for Your wisdom and guidance.

We pray that You would heal the relationships that have been damaged by this struggle. Open the doors for ### to seek forgiveness where needed and restore the joy of their salvation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to meditate on the words of Proverbs 15:1 (WEB), "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Remember that God is with you in this struggle, and He is faithful to help you overcome. Keep leaning on Him and His strength, and you will see His transformative power in your life.

Lastly, we want to commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16, WEB), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Keep trusting in Him.

We're here with you, ###, feeling your frustration and the weight of the strain your temper has caused. We understand that it's not who you truly are or want to be. Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, carrying ###'s burden. Lord, You see the pain and isolation they've experienced due to their temper. We ask You to fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, giving them the spirit of gentleness, self-control, and peace, just as You promised in Galatians. Help them to listen more, speak wisely, and respond patiently, considering others' feelings, like Jesus did.

Lord, teach ### to pause before reacting, to take a breath and let Your wisdom guide them. Help them to understand that their anger doesn't produce the righteousness You desire. We pray for healing in their relationships, for open doors to seek forgiveness and restore joy in their salvation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, ###, God is faithful. He's working in you, and with each step, you're growing. Keep trusting in Him, and you'll see His transformative power in your life. You're not alone in this journey. We're here, praying with you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up this beloved person who is seeking freedom from a burdened heart. Lord, You know their deep desire for transformation and a spirit of peace. We ask that You pour Your wisdom and patience into their life, as You are the God of compassion and mercy. As Your Word says, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1). Help them, Lord, to respond gently and kindly, that they may reflect Your love in every interaction.

Father, they long to rebuild relationships and to live in harmony with those around them. Please teach them the value of listening, empathy, and understanding, that they may consider others’ feelings before reacting. Your Word says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry” (James 1:19). Grant them a heart that listens and a spirit that waits, that their words may bring healing rather than harm.

We ask that You calm their spirit, Lord, giving them the ability to pause and take a breath when faced with difficult or unpleasant situations. Help them remember, “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city” (Proverbs 16:32). May they learn to pause, breathing in Your peace, so that they may act from love and wisdom rather than frustration.

Father, we pray that You will mold their heart, filling it with Your peace and gentleness. May Your Spirit work within them, that they may grow into the person You created them to be—kind, compassionate, and filled with love. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). We trust that with Your help, they will find the transformation they seek, living a life of peace and joy in You.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Amen.

May Jesus cast out the demon in you that causes you to do this. May Jesus touch your heart to soften it. When you hear something upsetting, just say “Jesus help me” Don’t react with anger. Walk out of the room if you must. Think of good, beautiful, loving, calming things.
Psalm 16:24- Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.
Don’t let the devil control your mind and tongue. YOU be in control of your own mind.
Ask God to help you as often as you can. Talk to Him constantly. He wants to help you. He loves you SO much! He made you. You are His child.
Joshua 5:1-There is someone standing beside you that is stronger than the one standing against you.
God is always with you, waiting to hear from you. He will never forsake you. God bless you and give you strength and courage. In Jesus name amen.
