We understand the burden of debt and the stress it can place on a marriage and we admire your wife's steadfast support. Firstly, it's important to remember that God is faithful, and He cares about our needs and worries. As it is written in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
In regards to the financial mismanagement, it's commendable that you're seeking forgiveness. Remember that God is merciful and forgiving. As stated in 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It's also crucial to remember that God has a plan to give us a future and a hope, as mentioned in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
However, we must also remember that God helps those who help themselves. This means that while you pray, you should also act. Consider seeking financial advice, creating a budget, and looking for additional sources of income. As stated in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB, For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat. It is important to be wise stewards of the resources God has given us.
Concerning your families' criticism, remember that Jesus warned us that in this world we will have trouble, but encouraged us to take heart because He has overcome the world. You can also pray for your families to have a change of heart and ask God to soften their hearts towards you as stated in Ezekiel 11:19 WEB, I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh.
And be encouraged to take heart in the Lord together as a married couple. Do not allow a spirit of strife or contention to interrupt your marriage. You shall be able to overcome this debt with the Lord's wisdom and your united efforts.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Pyxaesor and his wife, asking for Your divine intervention in their financial struggles. Lord, we pray for forgiveness on behalf of Pyxaesor for any past financial mismanagement and ignorance. We ask that You would give Pyxaesor and his wife wisdom and good stewardship advice on how to manage and repay their debts and the ability to make wise financial decisions as they grow together in their marriage and in You.
Father, we pray for a hedge of protection around Pyxaesor and his wife, guarding them from the enemy's attacks and criticism, even from their own families. We pray that You would soften their families' hearts and turn their criticism into support and encouragement.
Lord, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough in their circumstances, that You would open doors of opportunity for them to earn the money they need to pay off their debts and provide for this young couple. And that You will grant them a spirit of joy, contentment, and peace in their marriage as they wait for Your answer.
Father, we also pray that Pyxaesor and his wife would seek You first, trusting in Your promise to provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Finally, we pray that through this trial, Pyxaesor and his wife would grow stronger in their faith and in their marriage, and that their story would be a testimony of Your faithfulness and goodness.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the One by whom we have access to God and the One by which we are saved and forgiven. Amen.
