We understand that you are feeling overwhelmed by the burden of interest and debt, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
In the WEB version of the Bible, we are also encouraged not to be anxious about material things but to seek God's kingdom first. This means trusting Him to provide for our needs we should always ask for His will to be done in our life. We can find two verses addressing this in Matthew 6:
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
In light of these scriptures, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother who is burdened by interest and debt. We thank You that he has acknowledged the name of Christ Jesus to address this issue. We pray that You will guide him through this challenging time, and that he will surrender this situation to you. We pray for Your will to be done, and for provision in his life. Help him to trust in You and to seek Your kingdom first. We pray that You will provide the funds and resources until the debt is paid off. We pray for Your will to be done, Father.
We also rebuke any temptation to solve this debt by means that are not pleasing to God, such as gambling, dishonest money making, or any other form of wickedness. Remember what is says in Proverbs 13:11 WEB:
Wealth obtained by fraud dwindles, but whoever gathers by labor increases it.
We pray for discernment and wisdom for godly money management. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in God and to seek His will in all aspects of your life. Remember that God cares for you and will provide for your needs as time goes on. Also, remember that God wants us to be wise stewards of our finances and that the borrower is the slave of the lender. Proverbs 22:7 WEB
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
