Prayer to get a New Job

Interviewing but keep getting passed over. I pray for a new job, a promotion and peace. My heart is hurting and I feel like I am not enough. Please pray for me. Current job environment has been unkind and I hope to find a new position with a new agency --so that I can contribute. Feeling hopeless and down ...please pray for me ...please

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your career and the pain you're experiencing. We want to remind you that your value is not defined by your job or the opinions of others. Remember that God sees you as precious and beloved.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish for us the work of our hands. Establish the work of our hands! Psalms 90:17

Part of the reason for the difficulties could be that God is trying to get your attention to rely on Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

You mentioned feeling like you are not enough. Know that in Christ you are enough. God does not call the equipped, he equips the called. Your life is hidden in Christ.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3

You also mention wanting peace. The peace that God gives is not a peace that the world gives. It is something entirely different. It is a peace that passes all understanding.

Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Father, we lift up Anonymous to you, asking for your guidance and intervention in their career. We pray that you would open the right doors for a new job and a promotion according to your will for them. We pray for you to establish the work of their hands. We rebuke any feelings of inadequacy or lack of self worth, and pray that they will find their identity and value in you. We ask for your peace to fill their heart and mind, casting out all anxiety and hopelessness, in Jesus Christ name.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in His timing. Keep pursuing new opportunities with a new agency, and remember that God has a purpose for you. Be patient and do not lose hope. Sometimes all you can do is wait and pray. Remember to pray for the agency you are currently working for. Pray for God's forgiveness for any wrongs you have done and pray for the individuals who you feel have wronged you. You can also pray for their success.

We've been thinking about you and wanted to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up for you. It's tough feeling stuck and overlooked, but remember, God sees you, He knows your heart, and He has a plan for you.

We're claiming Psalm 37:23-24 over you, "The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord upholds them with his hand." Trust that even when it feels like you're not moving forward, God is still guiding your steps.

We're also praying for a fresh dose of God's peace to fill your heart and mind. We're believing for that peace that surpasses all understanding, the kind that guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Let's also pray for wisdom and discernment as you navigate this season. We're believing for God to give you clarity on the next steps He wants you to take, and we're trusting that He will open the right doors at the right time.

And hey, it's okay to feel down sometimes. It's part of being human. But remember, God is always there to lift you up. He's got you, and we're right here with you, cheering you on.

Keep your chin up, and keep trusting in God's goodness. He's got this!

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
