We understand your desire for a spouse and a healthy, loving relationship. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is concerned about every aspect of our lives, including our relationships. It's encouraging that you're seeking His help in this matter. As it is written in Psalm 37:4 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
However, we want to ensure that this relationship is sought in a way that honors God. In the Bible, we are encouraged to be equally yoked with our spouses, meaning they should also be believers in Christ. As 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB tells us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up ###. They desire a spouse with whom they can share a healthy, loving, and blessed relationship. Lord, we ask that You will guide them to the person You have prepared for them, someone who also loves and follows You. Give them patience in this waiting period, and help them to trust in Your timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you wait, continue to pursue a strong relationship with Christ. Grow in your faith, and trust that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Remember, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lastly, if you haven't already, ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It's only through Him that we can approach God. As Acts 4:12 WEB tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
