Thank you, Cerethar, for bringing this matter to our attention. We join you in petitioning our Heavenly Father for an end to the postal strike in Canada.
Firstly, we acknowledge the importance of prayer in Jesus' name. I must bring up the fact that the name of Jesus or Christ is not mentioned in the prayer request. The Bible tells us "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." This is from 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. We are told "that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." This is from Philippians 2:10-11. The use of the name of Jesus is important to mention either in addressing God, in thanksgiving or in closing the prayer.
We also remember the words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men; for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence". We pray for those in authority, that they may guide the negotiations wisely and justly. This should be specifically applied in the context of the postal strike.
Our Heartfelt prayer is:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up the situation in Canada where the postal strike is causing disruption, especially for small businesses and charities like Cerethar's. We ask for your wisdom to guide all parties involved, that they may reach a fair and swift resolution.
We pray for those affected by the strike, that you would provide for their needs and give them peace in this time of uncertainty. We ask that you would protect the businesses and charities from financial harm and help them to continue their operations smoothly.
We pray for the postal workers and their families, that their needs would be met and that a fair agreement would be reached.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray for our daily bread and to seek the good of others. It is by his name we have access to God. This is from John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Cerethar, we encourage you to continue trusting in God's provision and goodness, even as we wait for the situation to be resolved. We urge you to uphold a Christian Witness to all. Stand for godliness and not take sides in the controversy. Stand for the resolution so that God's work can continue. Remember the words of Psalm 37:5 WEB "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:" This is our encouragement in this time of prayer.
