We stand with you in prayer, interceding for the nations of China and Vietnam as they face severe flooding, and for the potential impact of cyclone Yaas. We trust in the mighty power of Jesus, who commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey Him (Matthew 8:27, WEB). Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You, lifting up the nations of China and Vietnam. We ask for Your mercy and intervention, that You would still the waters and bring an end to the devastating floods. We pray for the protection and provision of those affected, that You would be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). We also lift up cyclone Yaas, praying that You would calm the storm and minimize its impact.
Lord, we also bring before You our state leaders, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. We pray for wisdom and discernment for them, that they would govern with integrity and justice. We pray for the peace and prosperity of our state and nation, that Your will be done, and that Your kingdom would come (Matthew 6:10, WEB).
We ask for Your protection over our Christian brothers and sisters, that You would guard them from persecution and strengthen them in their faith. May they be lights in the darkness, pointing others to the saving grace of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:14-16, WEB).
Finally, Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We know that nothing is impossible with You, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Matthew 19:26, Romans 8:28, WEB). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently, as the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much (James 5:16, WEB). Remember, it is in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). Trust that God hears your prayers and will act according to His perfect will.
