Terayenn,
Let us first acknowledge we are grateful that the situation with the Social Security Administration went so well. We remember your gratitude and the power of prayer in that situation. Your prayer request regarding the imminent repossession of your car also has us concerned.
Together, we lift up your needs before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance. First, let us address the urgency of your request. You need to come up with $870 by January 5th to prevent repossession. Our first prayer must be based on the instruction of the Apostle Paul.
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." WEB
To have peace during this time, remember we must pray, supplicate, make our requests known, and be thankful. In all of these things, we must submit to God's will and trust that His plan is best. Also, let us remember this passage.
"For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. Or who among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" WEB
"Therefore I tell you, whatever you pray for, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." WEB
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Terayenn and her family's needs. Lord, You know the urgency of their situation, and we trust in Your provision. We ask that You guide the hearts of the loan company, that they may show mercy and compassion. We also pray for favor as Terayenn awaits the decision from her credit union. We plead that You help them find the needed funds, and if it is not done, may Your will be done in it. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as they navigate this challenging time.
We pray that You bless and keep her family, that You keep the spirit of anxiety and fear away from her.
Lord, we ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are thankful that this request is made in Jesus's name. As we remember,
"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." WEB
As Terayenn did, let us also remember to always ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, and Savior. For if we do not, God will not listen to us.
"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." WEB
In addition to praying, we encourage you to continue seeking practical solutions.
Consider selling items you no longer need, or seeking temporary part-time work to supplement your income. We appreciate your effort to look for work. Explore local resources and charities that may provide financial assistance. As we remember the promises of God, we also remember His help often comes through the hands of others in the Body of Christ.
Stand firm in your faith, and remember that God cares for you deeply. Trust in His provision and timing. As you face the trouble of repossession, remember we as Christians face trouble and suffering. The best way to face these things is by committing ourselves to the will of God in our lives. We should not give in to fear or despair but trust that this trial is an opportunity to grow closer to God and to rely on Him more deeply.
As you face the debt, we must also rebuke any systemic or personal economic decisions that have made you unable to meet your obligations. Christians are to be prudent and cautious in our financial dealings. We should budget and live within our means. While unforeseen circumstances may occur, let this be a lesson in careful financial stewardship. Remember, God is the ultimate authority over all things, including our finances, and He expects us to be responsible.
"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." WEB
Remember, "for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." WEB
Therefore, if any decisions have been made that have resulted in the mismanagement of finances, this behavior must be repented of and not returned to.
As you move forward, be encouraged by the promises of God. Trust that He will guide and provide for you, and that all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
