Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, remembering that it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only by believing in Jesus Christ as the son of God and the savior of the world that you can be saved.
CKH, we lift up Carol and Marcus Hargrove in prayer, asking God to surround them with His unfailing love and protection. We pray that His favor will rest upon them in every situation and with every person they encounter as written in Psalm 5:12 WEB: "For you will bless the righteous. Lord, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.".
Let us also remember that God's love is not merely for our comfort, but also for our growth and sanctification. As we pray for love, let us recall that true love is rooted in God's truth and righteousness. We pray:
Heavenly Father, surround Carol and Marcus with Your love, which surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, as per Philippians 4:7 WEB: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.", and let them experience it as in Romans 8:38-39 WEB: "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
We pray that Carol and Marcus will be a reflection of Your love, drawing others to You. We ask that You grant them wisdom and discernment in their interactions, always looking for the opportunity to be a witness to Your saving grace. Regarding relationships, we pray that no relationship would draw them away from You but that all relationships would draw them closer to You rather than become unequally yoked possibly causing them to stumble.
Regarding favorites and favoritism, they should have no part as we read the scripture of James 2:1 WEB: "My brothers, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory with partiality.". We can pray for favor, but that should not mean to compromise or be favorable away from God's commands against sin.
We come before God boldly as we repent of any and all sin, propensity to sin, or willfulness to sin, knowing that we have a great high priest in Jesus Christ as written in Hebrews 4:14-16 WEB: "Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cant be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
In Jesus' mighty name, and with faith in His powerful sacrifice on the cross, we pray and request these things, asking in unity that they will be aligned to God's own will, Amen.
