We stand with you in prayer, Merwarren, as you seek freedom from addiction and the merciful hand of God. Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and find salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
Firstly, we commend you for recognizing your struggle and bringing it before the Lord. As it is written in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our brother/sister Merwarren. Lord, they have humbly come to You, seeking mercy and freedom from addiction. We ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that You wash them clean, heal their heart, and make them whole. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the power to overcome this addiction. Guide their steps and help them to walk in Your light. Remind them of Your promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Merwarren, we encourage you to stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). Surround yourself with believers who can support and uplift you, and remain steadfast in prayer and in the study of God's Word. Remember, you are not alone in this battle. God is with you, and so are we, your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Lastly, we remind you of the promise in Romans 8:37-39, "...we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Amen. Keep fighting the good fight of faith, Merwarren. We are here with you, interceding and believing in your victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.
