We understand that you've been going through a difficult time lately, with depression keeping you from your quiet time with God. First, we want to remind you of the hope and comfort that can be found in Jesus. The Psalmist says, It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, Than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, Than to put confidence in princes, Psalm 118:8-9 WEB.
Remember "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all". Psalm 34:18,19 WEB.
Grace, it's important to know that Jesus is the name by which we can be saved. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB.
It's encouraging to see that you acknowledge your need for Jesus. He says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light, Matthew 11:28-30 WEB.
Let's pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up our sister in Christ, ###. We thank you that she has acknowledged her need for you and your grace is there to save her from this depression and separation. Lord, we pray that you will help ### to take some quiet time today and every day to sit in Your presence, to pray, and to read Your word. Help to draw her to you and to be one with you. We rebuke any spirit of depression or distraction that may be hindering her communion with you. We ask that you will fill her with your peace, your joy, and your strength. Help her to cast all her burdens on you, knowing that you care for her. Help her to learn from you Jesus and to experience the rest that you promised.
Lord, guide ###, through Your Holy Spirit, to the scriptures that will minister to her needs and remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help her to trust in you with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways help her to acknowledge you, and you will make her paths straight. Help to heal her broken heart and to bind up her wounds. Help her to wait on you and to renew her strength. Help her to see that this trial will not last always but that joy will come in the morning.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
