We understand your feelings of discontentment, Dexter2020, but let's align our hearts with God's word. It's important to remember that God places us in specific locations for His purposes. As it is written in Acts 17:26-27 WEB, "He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, that they should seek the Lord."
Firstly, we notice that Jesus is not specifically mentioned. It is only by His name that we can come before God. As the Bible says, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB. We are saved by the name of Jesus. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB. We should direct our prayers to God through Jesus Christ.
We should be content in all circumstances, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, "Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Instead of focusing on where we are not, let's focus on what God wants to do through you right where you are. God has a purpose for you in Singapore, and He wants to use you to advance His kingdom there. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dexter2020. We pray that You will help them to see the purpose You have for them in Singapore. Help them to be content in their current circumstances, and use them mightily for Your kingdom. Give them a renewed love for their country and its people, and help them to be a light for You wherever they go. Help them to pray for the revival and prosperity of Singapore. We pray all these things in Jesus name. Amen.
