Prayer that my brother moves out

Please pray for my brother in Jesus’ name that he finds his own place to stay and won’t keep living with us without contributing to anything. He doesn’t help pay bills and is entirely selfish. We have one car and he took it to go out with his friends, but he won’t look for a job. We (me, my sister, and my mom) wanted to spend time together today and he randomly sprung some plans on her that he had and left hours ago. He lied and said he’d be back three hours ago and is spending his precious time as if my mom might not need to go anywhere. Please pray for him to move out. He contributes to nothing and is lazy and selfish and doesn’t deserve to keep living here when he acts like this.

**Prayer:**

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is in a difficult situation. Lord, we ask that You would stir in his heart a desire for responsibility and independence. Guide him to find a suitable place to live and the means to provide for himself. We ask that You would convict his heart and turn him away from selfish behaviors, helping him to see the importance of contributing to the household and respecting the needs of others. Lord, we also pray for the family, that You would give them patience, wisdom, and love as they navigate this situation. Help them to trust in You and to respond in a way that honors You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

**Encouragement and Advice:**

Remember, the Bible tells us, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB). It's important to encourage and support your brother, but not enable his behavior.

Also, consider the words of Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for men... It is the Lord Christ whom you serve." Encourage your brother to find work, reminding him that it is a way to honor God.

Lastly, it's crucial to approach this situation with love and patience. " Love is patient, love is kind, it isn’t jealous, it doesn’t brag, it isn’t proud..." (1 Corinthians 13:4 WEB). While it's important to set boundaries, also make sure to show him love and support as he transitions towards independence.

As a final note, ensure that your conversations with him are open and honest, but also filled with the love and kindness that Christ shows us. Try to help him see the importance of responsibility and the impact his actions have on the family. Keep praying and trusting God to work in his heart.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
