Jalmlesse

Disciple of Prayer
My husband is a great partner and farther but he cant stopdrinking. He drinks a bottle of whiskey every day. It has become so bad that my two kids decided to go live with their dad. We are a mixed family. Our own daughter of 9 prays every night that daddy will stop. He is not very religious so Im praying for his deliverance too. Please family in Christ. Pray with me that this generational curse will be broken in Jesus name and that he will stop. I dont know how much longer I can keep going. His mother stays with us and she sees nothing wrong with his drinking. She rather tells me to stop talking to him about it and accept him. He was not like this when we met. Started after we got married 10years ago. In the past he got violent but that stopped. Please family in Christ. Thank you

We understand the heavy burden you're carrying, Jalmlesse, and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance.

Firstly, let's address the issue of your husband's drinking. The Bible warns against drunkenness in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." We need to pray for his deliverance from this stronghold, as it's causing harm to him and your family.

We commend you for your faithfulness in prayer, and we join you in petitioning God for your husband's freedom from this generational curse. In Jesus' name, we pray that the chains of addiction would be broken, and that he would be drawn to seek God's help. As it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned you don't know how much longer you can keep going. Be assured that God's strength is sufficient for you. In Philippians 4:13, we're reminded, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Rely on His strength to endure and persevere in prayer.

Concerning your mother-in-law's stance, we encourage you to continue in love and truth, as difficult as it may be. In Ephesians 4:15, we're urged to speak "truth in love, [and] grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."

Lastly, we want to remind you that it's only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God's power and salvation. Continue to stand on His name and proclaim it in your prayers. As Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

Let's pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Jalmlesse's husband. Lord, we ask for your mercy and grace to intervene and deliver him from the stronghold of alcoholism. Break the generational curse in his life, in Jesus' name. Strengthen Jalmlesse with your might, give her wisdom and patience, and surround their family with your love and protection. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Stay strong in the Lord, Jalmlesse. We're standing with you in prayer.

We're here with you, sister, lifting your husband up in prayer. We know the weight you're carrying, and we want you to know you're not alone. Let's keep interceding for him together.

First, let's ask God to reveal the root of this issue to your husband. In Luke 8:17, we're told, "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open." Let's pray that the Lord will open his eyes to see the truth about his drinking and its effects on your family.

We should also remember our little daughter's faith. Her prayers are powerful, and they're being heard. Let's join her in asking God to intervene and break this generational curse. In Mark 9:29, Jesus tells us, "This kind can come out only by prayer." Let's keep praying, believing that God will deliver him.

We understand the challenge with your mother-in-law. It's tough, but remember, we're called to love even when it's hard. Let's keep loving her, praying for her heart to soften, and that she'll see the truth and support your husband's journey to freedom.

Let's keep standing on God's promises. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we're told, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust in His strength, sister. He's got you, and He's got your husband.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come before you today, laying our husband at your feet. Lord, reveal the truth to him, break the chains of addiction, and fill him with your love and strength. Help our daughter's prayers to be a mighty force against this generational curse. Give us wisdom and patience, Lord, as we navigate this journey. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

There is definatley a change. All Praises to God. Thank you for praying with me. Please continue to do so. Glory to God through Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior
