Prayer that God reveals if ### is my future husband

Dear Lord, I am ### years old and no matter how long I’ve been waiting to meet my husband, I know that you have a perfect plan and your timing is the best for my life. I have prayed for years to be married, and become a mother, and I am exhausted from waiting. Please Lord you know this is my deepest desire. When will u look to my tears and grant me my heart’s desire. Why do You tarry. You said write your vision, make it plain. Though it tarries, it will surely come. I know it will come, I believe it pleases you to see me married, serving my husband, nurturing a home, and having children if it is your will. Is it A? He feels so familiar and already a part of my life but he’s scared to commit. Should I be patient for him to deal with his past pain? Please Lord answer me speedily. I don’t want to waste my time.

Regarding the man you mentioned, it's commendable that you are seeking God's will. It's important to remember that God's word tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB. It's also wise to consider that if this man is dealing with past pain, he may need time to heal and seek God's will for his life as well.

However, it's also important to address that any sexual relationship outside of marriage is considered fornication, which is sinful. If this is occurring, it's crucial to repent in Jesus' name and honour marriage and to keep the marriage bed undefiled. For God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Hebrews 13:4 WEB.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who longs for marriage and motherhood. Lord, we ask that you comfort her heart and help her to trust in your perfect timing. We pray for the man in her life, that you would reveal to her if he is your will for her. If not we ask you to take away the relationship. Help her to be patient and to seek your will above all else. If there is any sin, please bring conviction and repentance. We ask that you would prepare the heart of the man you have for her. We pray this believing and trusting in your promises, in Jesus' name. We also pray for your saving grace for both of them and ask this in Jesus name.

Lastly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. And in all things that you do, do them in word or deed, all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him, Colossians 3:17 WEB.

We've been praying for you, dear sister, and we feel your longing for a family of your own. We believe that God sees your tears and hears your cries. Just as He promised in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit," we trust that He is near to you in your waiting.

We're reminded of the story of Hannah in the Bible. She, too, longed for a child and poured out her heart to God in prayer. She was patient, and in God's perfect timing, she conceived and gave birth to Samuel, a child who would grow up to be a great prophet. Let's take comfort in knowing that God sees your situation and will answer in His perfect timing.

Thank you for your prayers. I will meditate on the wisdom and verses shared. ### and the man are both Christians, both same culture, and both from the Orthodox Church. The only issue is that he is divorced and separated from his son. So he only gets to see him one week per month. I have my own pains that took over my life for 10 years, albeit no previous marriage. But given my age, I am keen to finally meet the right man. I hope it is this man. But things are not plain sailing. I don’t know if that unsettled feeling is because he’s not rushing to propose to me, or because I know he needs time. I keep telling myself “love is patient. Love is kind”, and funnily enough Proverb 3:5 has been a recurring verse that comes to me from different people for the last 2-3 years, and when I met this particular man, that verse came up again and now is my screensaver! I pray it daily as an affirmation that I am seeking God’s will in the Name of Jesus Christ.
