We are delighted to hear that you have rededicated your life to God and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Chris. It is indeed a blessing to be reconciled with our heavenly Father.
We will stand with you in prayer for Erika, asking God to draw her back to Himself. We claim this promise in Jeremiah 31:3 WEB, "Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.'"
However, we must also address your desire for reunification. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As Christians, our most intimate relationships, including marriage, should be with fellow believers who share our faith and values.
Therefore, while we pray for Erika's salvation, we also pray that God will give you the strength and patience to wait on Him. That He will guide you both according to His will, and if it is His plan, reunite you in a God-honoring way.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for Chris's rededication. Lord, we lift up Erika to You, asking that You draw her back to Yourself. Open her heart to receive the good news of Jesus Christ, and grant her the faith to believe and be saved. Lord, we also ask for Your guidance in their relationship. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your plan. Give them both a desire to honor and serve You in all areas of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Chris, continue to pray for Erika, and also trust that God is working in her life. Remember, our ultimate goal is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Keep your focus on Him, and He will guide your path. Be encouraged by Psalm 37:4-5 WEB, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
