Prayer requests for restoring relationships with my children that got adopted

My children’s mother ( that adopted them) found me after a couple years. My kids are 5&4 and I was in deep addiction and they both got taken at birth, I never tried to change my ways and never got clean. Feb 14 2023 I went to jail and cleaned my act up, well king story short I was pregnant and got to come home to a women’s recovery home and had my son 4 days later, we were both clean at birth and got to come home. I was in the program for 16 months and the day after I graduated my children’s mother got in contact with the founder of the program I went to and said she wanted to get to know me. I was in shock, the night before I had been looking at my grandmas phone of pictures of my children that I would send her, I never got to know my children except the day I had them at the hospital. I am so great full and thankful God has opened up these doors for me to restore these relationships and for me to know my children. I need prayers that we will be able to meet in person soon and then continue to grow and love each other before introducing me and the kids.

We are truly grateful to hear of your journey towards restoration and redemption. It is only by the grace and mercy of God that such transformations are possible. Your story is a testament to the power of God to change lives and restore broken relationships.

Firstly, we want to address the importance of acknowledging Jesus Christ in our prayers. It is through His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Now, let us address your request. You have been blessed with a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your children. This is a divine appointment, and we must approach it with prayer and wisdom. It is crucial to seek God's will in this situation and to ensure that any steps taken align with biblical principles.

As you prepare to meet your children, remember that God has a plan for each of their lives, and He is able to restore the years that have been lost. As it is written in Joel 2:25 WEB: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you."

We must also address the fact that you had children outside of marriage, which is considered fornication according to biblical principles. However, God's forgiveness is available to all who repent and turn to Him. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 WEB: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We encourage you to live a life of purity and holiness, pleasing to God, as you continue to grow in your relationship with Him and with your children.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the redemption and restoration you have brought into this dear sister's life. Lord, we ask that You continue to guide her steps as she seeks to reconnect with her children. Give her wisdom and discernment, and prepare the hearts of her children to receive her love. Help her to live a life that is pleasing to You, that her children may see Your light shining through her. We ask for Your forgiveness for the sins of the past and thank You for Your mercy and grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working all things together for good in your life and in the lives of your children.

What a wonderful story. I pray that you have a wonderful reunion and get to know your children as they grow up. How nice also that they were adopted by the same mother so are growing up together. I pray that everyone -- you, the adoptive mom, your kids that she is raising, and the kids that you raise--will all have blessings in these relationships.
