Dear Fukath, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you face these challenges. Let us first bring your situation before the Lord, seeking His guidance and provision.
"Lord, we lift up Priya and her husband to you. They are in need of a job and financial breakthrough. We ask that you open the doors of opportunity for Priya, that you guide her to the right job, one that suits her skills and provides abundantly for their needs. We also pray for her husband, that you would increase his income and bless the work of his hands. They have a significant debt and we ask that you provide a way for them to pay it off. We know that you are a God who provides, who cares for the needs of your children. We ask these things in Jesus' name."
Priya, in the face of these trials, remember that God is your provider and that He cares for you. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB), "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? 'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? 'Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."
In all things, keep seeking God, trusting in His goodness and provision. Also, make sure to call upon the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Lastly, we encourage both you and your husband to manage your finances according to biblical principles. Live within your means, avoid debt as much as possible, and be good stewards of what God has given you. In doing so, you honor God and set yourselves up for blessings and prosperity.
