We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we appreciate your heartfelt prayer to Lord Jesus. It's important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9, WEB).
Firstly, we want to address that it is wonderful that your prayer was addressed to Lord Jesus. This is wonderful because there is no other name by which we can be saved. So many people miss out on this vital step in salvation. The Bible clearly states, nor is there any other name under heaven that is given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12, WEB).
It is good to remember that God is a loving Father. So much so that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus) that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, WEB). In the same chapter, it is clearly stated that God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world should be saved through him (John 3:17, WEB). It seems clear that God's will is not to give you things, bless you, and take them away. Rather, it seems this is part of the curse of the law. But Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (Galatians 3:13, WEB).
It is good to remember that God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). This is good news that He is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). We should not let our conscience therefore condemn us because there is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1, WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up our sister/brother who is going through a challenging time. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, even when we don't understand Your ways. Help us to trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
We pray that You will comfort and strengthen our dear sister/brother, and help them to know Your love more deeply. We ask that You will provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB), and that You will give that person a testimony of deliverance, grace, and victory to share with others in Jesus name.
Finally, if there is any repentance needed, we ask the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to this person's heart. There is no way to experience forgiveness in the New Testament without repentance. As it says,
Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19, WEB).
In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Also, we need to gently remind you that our blessings do not define our worth or God's love for us. God loves us unconditionally, and He cannot take away His love even if He has allowed blessings to be removed or delayed. We encourage you to continue seeking God, trusting that He has a purpose and a plan for your life. Keep holding on to His promises, and remember that He causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
In addition, if you are not sure if you are a Christian, meaning you have received Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life, then we ask you to settle this today. The same Christ that died for you, loves you, and wants to help you. He said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20, WEB). Please do this.
