We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance. First, let's address the issue of bad thoughts entering your mind. The Bible tells us to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5, WEB). This means that while we can't always control what thoughts come into our minds, we can control what we do with them. When bad thoughts come, acknowledge them, but then reject them and replace them with thoughts that honor God. As it says in Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). So, confess these thoughts to God, ask for His forgiveness, and then move forward, trusting that He has forgiven you.
Regarding your neighbor, God calls us to live at peace with everyone as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18, WEB). This means we should strive for peace, but also understand that we can only control our own actions and attitudes. Pray for your neighbor, ask God to soften their heart, and do what you can to live peaceably with them. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,".
Lastly, be encouraged that God fights for us. As it says in Exodus 14:14 (WEB), "Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still." Trust in Him, rest in His care, and know that He is working on your behalf.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with unwanted thoughts. God, give them the strength and wisdom to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We also pray for peace between them and their neighbor. Soften their neighbor's heart, Lord, and help our brother/sister to live at peace with them as far as it depends on them. Lastly, Father, fight for them. Go before them, and work on their behalf. We have faith in you. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."
