We are glad to join with you in prayer, seeking God's protection and guidance for the person you mentioned. Let's come together in the name of Jesus Christ, as the Bible tells us that there is power in His name. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the individual who needs Your protection and guidance. We pray that You would surround them with Your angels, protecting them from all harm and danger. Guide their steps, Lord, and direct their paths according to Your will. Help them to trust in You and to seek Your face continually.
Lord Jesus, we call upon Your name, knowing that there is power in Your name. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to this person in a very special way, that they may know You more intimately and experience Your love and grace in their lives.
Father, we also pray for the person who submitted this request. We ask that You would encourage and strengthen them in their faith. We pray that they may know the hope of Your calling and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints. We ask that You would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You.
Now may the God of peace, sanctify them completely, and may their spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls them, who will also do it.
We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
While we understand the intent behind encouraging others to call on the name of Jesus, we want to clarify that it is not the repetition of His name that brings about change, but rather faith in His name and what He has accomplished for us on the cross. As the Bible tells us in Romans 10:9 WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
It is through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved, not through the repetition of His name or any other ritual. We encourage everyone to call upon the name of Jesus in faith, trusting in Him for salvation and for all their needs. As the Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
We encourage everyone to pray continually, seeking God's face, and trusting in His goodness and faithfulness. As the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB, "Pray without ceasing."
