We understand that you are seeking prayer for someone special in your life as they prepare for an exam and pursue a job opportunity. We commend you for acknowledging God's will in this situation and will pray for God's will in Jesus name. It is so important for you to also intercede for them in Jesus' name, as it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In fact, Scripture tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" Acts 5:30 WEB.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to trust in God's plan for this person's life. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is wonderful that you are asking for God's will to be done in their life, as this is the key to true happiness and fulfillment.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved individual who is preparing for an exam and seeking a new job opportunity. We ask, Lord, that You would guide them, give them wisdom and discernment, and help them to excel in their exam. We pray that if this job is aligned with Your will for their life, that You would open the doors and grant them this position, and give them the gifts needed to succeed. But we also pray that you will stand in the way if it is not according to the gifts and calling you have for them.
Help them to trust in You, Lord, and to rest in the knowledge that You have a plan and a purpose for their life. Give them peace and confidence as they pursue this opportunity, and help them to keep their eyes fixed on You.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In regards to your relationship with this person, we encourage you to seek God's will as well. If you are not already married, we pray that God would give you wisdom and discernment as you navigate this relationship. Remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that any romantic relationship should be approached with that end goal in mind.
If there is anything in your relationship that does not align with biblical principles, we urge you to address it and seek God's guidance. Remember the words of 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Lastly, we want to encourage both of you to keep God at the center of your lives and to seek Him in all that you do. Remember that His ways are higher than our ways, and that His plans are always for our good and His glory.
Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
We also pray that if the person you are asking for prayer for does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, that you will be the light of Christ that they need to see.
Prayer is a vital aspect of this process. God will honor your prayers and we, too, will pray for you both.
