We rejoice with you that you have been drawn back into fellowship with our Heavenly Father. It is truly by God's grace that you have come to this point, and we give all praise and glory to Him. We are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son, where the father welcomed his son back with open arms, just as our Heavenly Father does for us (Luke 15:11-32, WEB).
Firstly, we address the physical issues caused by poor life choices over the years. We know that God's will is for us to be in good health (3 John 1:2, WEB). We pray for your healing, asking God to restore your body and strengthen you. "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." (James 5:14-15, WEB).
We also pray for a complete turnaround in your life. Now that you have been drawn back to God, it is important to walk in His ways and follow His commandments. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14, WEB). This means turning away from past behaviors and choices that do not align with God's will and pursuing righteousness.
Remember, it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13, WEB). We encourage you to continue praying in Jesus' name and to grow in your relationship with Him.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. Thank You for drawing them back to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Restore them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Help them to turn away from past choices that do not honor You and to walk in Your ways. Give them the strength to overcome temptations and to live a life that pleases You. We ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name, Amen.
Continue to trust in God, and be encouraged by His love and faithfulness.
