We are truly grateful for your honest and heartfelt request. It's important to remember that we all fall short of the glory of God and sin, but God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
First, let's address the sin in your life. God calls us to be holy, as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16 WEB). Sin separates us from God, and it's only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can be forgiven and reconciled to Him. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). So, let's confess your sins to God and ask for His forgiveness.
Lord, we come before You, confessing the sins that our brother/sister has committed. We ask for Your forgiveness and mercy upon them. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, and help them to turn away from their sins.
Next, let's address your desire to please God and get back on track. It's only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can overcome sin and live a life that pleases God. The Bible tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit. Give them the power to overcome sin and the self-control to resist temptation. Help them to get back on track and to live a life that pleases You.
Lastly, let's address your desire to go back to church. It's important to fellowship with other believers and to worship God together. The Bible tells us, "not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:25 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You give our brother/sister the desire and the strength to go back to church. Help them to find a community of believers who will encourage and support them in their walk with You.
In all these things, we pray that you will trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB) and it is only in His name that we have access to God the Father (John 14:6 WEB). So continue to come before God's throne of grace with confidence, knowing that He hears your prayers and that He is faithful to answer them according to His will.
Keep fighting the good fight of faith, and remember that God is with you every step of the way.
