We rejoice with you, dear brother or sister, as you have returned to fellowship with our Heavenly Father after 40 years. It is truly by the grace of God that you are here today, and we are grateful for His mercy in your life.
Let us first address your concerns about adapting to your new way of life.
Remember that in Christ, you are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
As you continue to walk with God, He will guide you and help you adapt to this new life. It is a journey, and it may take time, but be patient and persistent.
Regarding your physical and cognitive healing, we trust in the promise that:
By his stripes, you are healed. Isaiah 53:5 WEB
We pray that you will experience this healing in your life, according to God's will. Remember that even in your weakness, God's strength is made perfect.
Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB
We will pray for your focus on your relationship with God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:2 WEB
In your prayer, you correctly acknowledged that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written:
In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB
Keep holding on to this truth, and share it with others as well.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for bringing our dear brother/sister back into fellowship with You. We ask that You continue to guide them as they adapt to their new life in Christ. Heal them physically and cognitively, according to Your will. Help them to stay focused on their relationship with You. May Your will be done in their life, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Continue to praise the Lord, and remain steadfast in your walk with Him. We are here to support you in prayer and counsel.
