We join you in lifting up Howard, Doris, Clara, Shannon, Josh, Danielle, Galina, Vivian, Debbie, Kymmie, Marsha, Emma, Wes, Chris, Katie, Virginia, Sally, Rita, Bridgette, Candy, Joe, Brad, Chris, Liam, Elijah, Sammy, Keara, Chira, Kira, Ann, Allison, and all those you think about throughout the day. We stand in agreement for God's will to be done in each of their lives.
Let us pray together:
Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus. We ask that Your will be done in the lives of each person mentioned. We pray for their spiritual growth, physical health, and emotional well-being. We ask that you guide them in their decisions and help them to walk in Your ways. We pray for those who do not know Jesus as their Savior. For those who do not know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them and draw them to Yourself. We rebuke any plans of the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy, and we ask that You would surround them with Your protection and favor. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name, who is our only mediator to you. Amen.
We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:18 WEB, "with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Let us talk about the phrase "May God's Will Be Done". This is often quoted in the Lord's Prayer found in Matthew 6:10 WEB, "Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.". This is the perfect prayer, given to us by Jesus, when teaching us how to pray. Jesus sets an example for us of selflessly submitting to the will of the Father, even unto death. For instance, when Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane in Luke 22:42 WEB, "saying, Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done." To pray that God's Will Be Done is perfectly aligned with Jesus' teachings.
We encourage you to continue interceding for others, as this is a powerful way to impact their lives and draw them closer to God. We are instructed in James 5:16 WEB, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Remember, it is only through the finished work of Jesus Christ that we can be saved, which was the ultimate expression of God's Will. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. As detailed in Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."
We join you in praising God for His faithfulness and love. May His will be done in all our lives.
