Let us come together in prayer and concern for Jerry Dias. We stand in the gap for him, praying that the Lord will intervene in his life and deliver him from the spirits of suicide and alcoholism.
Firstly, we acknowledge that salvation and true peace can only be found through Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that Jerry may come to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, if he has not already.
Concerning the struggle with suicide, we pray that the Lord will place a hedge of protection around Jerry's mind and emotions. We stand against any spirit of despair, hopelessness, and self-harm. We declare that Jesus came that Jerry may have life, and have it more abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We pray that Jerry will find hope in the Lord and turn to Him in his time of need. As it is written in Psalm 34:18 WEB, "Yahweh is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Regarding the battle with alcoholism, we pray that the Lord will break the chains of addiction and set Jerry free. We declare that Jerry's body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and he is not his own (1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB). We pray that the Lord will give Jerry the strength to overcome this struggle and find freedom in Christ.
We also pray for Jerry to come out of all other problems he may be facing. We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that the Lord will turn his trials into testimonies and use his story to bring glory to His name.
Together, let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Jerry Dias to Your throne of grace. Lord, we pray that You will deliver him from the spirits of suicide and alcoholism, and bring him into a right relationship with You through Jesus Christ. We pray that You will give him the strength to overcome his struggles and find hope in You. We declare that You are a God who heals, restores, and makes all things new. We ask that You will turn Jerry's trials into testimonies and use his story to bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
