We join you in praying that God sends people to guide those who feel lost. It is so important that all who feel this way find support. In the book of Jeremiah, God promises, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for those who feel lost and alone. Send your people to guide them, Lord. Give them the support and encouragement they need. Give them a future and a hope. We pray that they call on you, Lord, and that they find you when they search for you with all their heart. Surround them with your love and peace, Father.
It is also important to mention that sometimes we must go out of our way for the lost. Jesus reminds us of this in the parable of the lost sheep. What do you think? If a man has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek the one that goes astray? If he finds it, most certainly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18:12-14. Let us be willing to go out of our way for the lost, so that they may be found.
We also need to make sure those we pray for know Jesus Christ. It is by Jesus that we come to God. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6.
