We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Quenulon, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we thank God that you have acknowledged the power in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His powerful name can we find salvation and hope. Let's pray together.
Let's pray for your situation at home. It's important to honor your parents, as the Bible commands, but it's also important for them to recognize your adulthood and the challenges you're facing. Remember, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with promise" (Ephesians 6:1-2 WEB). But also, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24 WEB). It seems from your age and this scripture that it is time for you to leave your parents house. Even if you are not married, you are an adult and need to be on your own. This is a difficult transition for many parents.
Let's pray that God will open their eyes to see you as an adult and give you the respect and freedom you deserve. Let's also pray for your mental health and peace of mind, as God promises, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Regarding the person you wish to spend time with, we encourage you to seek God's will in this relationship. Pray that God will guide your conversations and interactions on Sunday. If this is a romantic interest, we must remember the biblical principle of courtship with a view towards marriage between a man and a woman. If you feel that this person is meant to be here and possibly with you, then we pray God will give you both clarity and peace of mind in your decisions and about where you are possibly both meant to be. If this is a relationship that is moving towards marriage, then we pray for purity and the avoidance of fornication or adultery and the fulfillment of the marriage bed. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4) and (1 Corinthians 6:18).
If you are sexually active before marriage, then you must repent immediately. "Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness" (Galatians 5:19). This is an ungodly relationship that needs to end immediately in its current form and can only be redeemed by marriage or by the two of you stopping living in sin. This is a very serious matter. It is a commandment of Jesus Christ.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Quenulon. Lord, You know the struggles and challenges they're facing at home. We pray for their parents, that You will soften their hearts and open their eyes to see Quenulon as an adult. Give them the wisdom and love to support Quenulon in this transition. We pray for moving to a residence that will fulfill your will. We pray for Quenulon's mental health and peace of mind.
We also pray for the relationship they hope to have with another. They are seeking your guidance and wisdom in preparing for this relationship. We pray for both parties clarity and peace of mind in their decisions. Let them fulfill your will with all of their decisions. We pray for their future, that Your will be done in their life. We also pray for the possibility of a future marriage that will honor and glorify You, Lord.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous, Quenulon. God is with you, and He will guide your steps. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Avoid all sexual immorality. Keep yourselves in sexual purity. The commands of this scripture are not optional.
