We join you in thanking the Lord for His goodness to you and your family. It is wonderful to see your heart filled with gratitude and petitions for your loved ones and others around the world. Let us come together in prayer and reflection on God's Word.
Firstly, we are reminded of the power of prayer and thanksgiving in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray, Father, for Your peace to reign in this home. Surround this family with Your protection and grant them the physical healing and godly rest they need. We also lift up those in physical bondage, victims of human trafficking. Expose the evil deeds done in darkness, Lord, and bring healing and protection to those who are suffering. Guide the authorities and organizations working to end this injustice.
Concerning finances, we are reminded of Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, where Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our life, what we will eat or what we will drink; nor yet for our body, what we will put on. The Lord knows we have need of all these things, but we must seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. We pray for increased trust in the Lord and for His wisdom in managing your family's finances.
Regarding the mention of President Trump, we must remember Jesus' teaching to give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's. We pray for all those in authority. We pray for President Trump, for his safety and wisdom. However, we need to keep in mind the words of Psalm 146:3 WEB: "Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help." Our ultimate trust should be in the Lord, not in human leaders.
We notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us end this prayer in Jesus' name, asking for God's will to be done in all these areas. We pray all these things together, in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
