We thank you for your heartfelt prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ. First, let's address your request, especially those areas you want God's help to correct.
Roshan, it is great that you are seeking God for forgiveness, blessings, and guidance. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Your struggles with alcohol have led to difficulties at work and lost privileges. You ask God to help you regain trust and restore your work-from-home privileges. We pray that God will grant you the strength to overcome your drinking habit completely.
Romans 13:13-14
Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
1 Corinthians 6:12
All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
Remember, God wants us to be sober and self-controlled, not indulging in habits that can harm us or others. It is not wise to pray for self-control to only drink occasionally. The Bible tells us to avoid drunkenness altogether and not to be mastered by anything, including alcohol.
You also mention your financial needs and ask for God's provision. Trust in God's provision and timing, and remember that He knows your needs better than you do.
Matthew 6:25-34
Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
Regarding marriage, you want to find someone to marry. Do not look for a partner, but rather seek a spouse in Jesus name. We pray that God will guide you to a godly wife who shares your faith and values.
Proverbs 31:10-31
Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works eagerly with her hands. She is like the merchant ships. She brings her bread from afar. She arises also while it is yet night, gives food to her household, and portions for her servant girls. She considers a field, and buys it. With the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard. She arms her waist with strength, and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn’t go out by night. She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She spreads out her hands to the needy. Yes, she reaches out her hands to the poor. She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom. Faithful instruction is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn’t eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you excel them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates!
Finally, remember to pray in Jesus' name.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let's pray,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Roshan. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness on his behalf and pray that You strengthen his faith. We thank You for being the giver and sustainer of all things. Father, we ask for Your financial provision to help Roshan overcome his debts and struggles.
Lord, we confess Roshan's shortcomings, especially his drinking habit, and ask for Your divine intervention. Help him overcome this challenge completely, and grant him the strength to live a sober life, pleasing to You. Restore his reputation at work and help him regain the trust of his colleagues and superiors.
Father, we ask for Your provision of 20,000 rupees to meet Roshan's needs. We also pray for his mother's healing, strength, and Your constant presence in her life. Bless Roshan's family, his sister and her family, their relatives, friends, and all those in need. Guide them to walk in Your path always.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance in helping Roshan settle in life, live the precious life You've given him, and find a godly wife who will walk this journey with him. We trust in Your plan and timing.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
