We are glad to join you in prayer for your son's career path and educational journey. It's commendable that you want God's will to be done in his life. Let’s remember that God has a plan and purpose for each of us, and He desires for us to prosper in all areas of our lives.
Firstly, let's pray together. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus Christ’s name, lifting up this son to You. We ask that You guide him in his career choice, giving him wisdom and discernment to make the right decision. Lead him to a good college that aligns with his abilities and, more importantly, with Your will for his life Lord. Help him to trust in You and follow Your path, even when it may not be the easiest or most popular choice. We know and trust Father that Your word says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We know that You are faithful and that You have a good, pleasing, and perfect plan for his life according to Your word in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Now, let's encourage your son to seek God's will in his life. Remind him that God's ways are always best, even if they don't seem to make sense at the time. He should be encouraged to be in constant prayer, and to study God’s word. He should be active in his pursuit of God and in his Christian walk with Jesus. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can find salvation. As we are told in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Also, it's crucial for your son to understand that success is not measured by the world's standards but by the calling and purpose God has for him. He should pursue a career that will allow him to serve God and others, using the unique gifts and talents God has given him. Remind him of Matthew 6:33, WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Finally, encourage your son to be patient and wait on the Lord. It's okay if he doesn't have all the answers right away. God's timing is perfect, and he can trust that God is working everything out for his good according to Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will direct your son's steps and lead him to the right college and career path. May your son always remember that Jesus has promised to be with him always according to Matthew 28:20 WEB, "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen."
