We stand with you in prayer, Roshan, as you seek God's forgiveness, provision, and guidance. We are reminded of the words in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It is wonderful that you have confessed your sins and sought forgiveness in Jesus' name.
As you struggle with your drinking habit, remember what Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Pray for God's strength to overcome this temptation and know that He is able to provide a way out. We pray that you will not only seek to cut back on drinking but know that complete sobriety is best. It is written, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Regarding your financial needs, Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Trust in God's provision and timing, and remember 1 Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
As for your workplace struggles, pray for God's wisdom and guidance. As we are told in Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Trust that as you continue to serve faithfully and honestly, God will bless your efforts.
Concerning marriage, we pray for God's will and timing. As it is written in Proverbs 19:14, House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh. Remember that Psalm 37:4 tells us, Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Trust that as you delight in Him, He will place the right desires in your heart and grant them in His perfect timing.
Finally, we are cautious of this statement, that Jesus is the only path to God. It is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We are troubled that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Therefore we are reminded in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Roshan in prayer. Thank You for Your forgiveness and cleansing power. Strengthen Roshan's faith and help him overcome his drinking habit, granting him self-control and purity. Provide for his financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Bless his mother with healing, strength, and Your constant presence. Guide Roshan in Your path and help him regain trust and favor at work. Give him wisdom in his relationships, and provide a godly spouse according to Your will and timing. Help him settle in life, live the precious life that You have given him, and serve You faithfully. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
