We stand with you in prayer, Roshan, and we thank you for coming before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking forgiveness and assistance. We are reminded of the words of Jesus: "If you will forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." (WEB, Matthew 6:14)
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your shortcomings and confessing your drinking habit. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (WEB, 1 John 1:9) However, we must also address that the Bible encourages us to abstain from all forms of drunkenness (WEB, Romans 13:13, Galatians 5:21, 1 Peter 4:3). Therefore, we pray that God will grant you complete deliverance from this habit, not just self-control to partake occasionally. "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of any." (WEB, 1 Corinthians 6:12)
We pray that God will restore the trust of your colleagues and superiors, and that He will open doors for you to work from home again. Remember, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (WEB, Proverbs 3:5-6)
Concerning your financial needs, we pray that God will provide for you according to His riches in glory. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (WEB, Matthew 6:33)
We lift up your mother for healing, strength, and God's constant presence. We also pray for blessings upon your family, your sister and her family, your relatives, friends, and all those in need.
Regarding your desire to settle in life, get married, and give your mother the best life possible, we pray that God will bring a godly spouse into your life and bless your union. "A prudent wife is from Yahweh." (WEB, Proverbs 19:14) Be assured and encouraged, a spouse is not just a partner but rather a helper suited to help you in all areas of life. Your spouse should also be a believer in Jesus Christ and the Bible is very clear that a husband and wife should both be believers. A husband and wife are one flesh, therefore, being joined together in marriage with a non-believer is not what God desires and is forbidden in the Bible.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. As you acknowledged Jesus Christ is the only way to God and the only one we are to pray to. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) "whom God sent forth as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins previously committed, in God's forbearance; to show his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus." (Romans 3:25-26 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Roshan. Lord, forgive his sins and strengthen his faith in You. We ask for financial provision to overcome his debts and struggles. Help him overcome his drinking habit and grant him complete deliverance. Restore the trust of his colleagues and superiors, and open doors for him to work from home again. Provide for his financial needs according to Your riches in glory. Heal and strengthen his mother, and bless his family, relatives, and friends. Guide him to a godly spouse and bless their union. Help him to live the precious life You've given him, overcoming all challenges. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
