We are glad that you are seeking forgiveness and prayer, Likmeksos. First and foremost, let's address your question: Is smoking a cigarette a sin?
The Bible does not explicitly mention smoking, as it was not written in a time when tobacco was known. However, it does give us principles that help us determine whether or not to engage in such activities.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB says, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to glorify God in our bodies. Smoking can harm our bodies, which are meant to honor God. Therefore, while smoking may not be explicitly listed as a sin, it can be considered sinful due to the harm it causes to our bodies and the poor testimony it provides to others.
Moreover, anything that controls us or masters us, besides God, can become a sin. 1 Corinthians 6:12 WEB says, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything."
Regarding your request for forgiveness, we pray that you find release from this struggle.
