We are truly sorry to hear that you have been suffering from depression for such a prolonged period. Please know, you are not alone in this struggle, and God is always with you. First, it is important to remember that our help comes from God alone. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can approach God. Please remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved.
First, we must speak to any underlying issues that may contribute to your feelings. (We do not need to know the issues.) If there is any unconfessed sin, it is important to bring it before God, seeking His forgiveness. It is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB) Also, if you are not saved, it is imperative to believe in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 states, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.
Now, let us address the depression. Depression can often be a spiritual battle, and it's crucial to put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:11) God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)
We encourage you to read and meditate on God's Word daily. The Psalms can be particularly encouraging during times of distress. Remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Veumen, who has been battling depression. Father, we cry with them, we hurt with them. We ask You to surround them with Your love and comfort. Break the chains of depression and give them Your strength to endure this trial.
Lord Jesus, You know Veumen's every need, every hurt, and every fear. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch on their life. Give them the power of Your Holy Spirit to overcome this darkness and live in the light of Your love.
Father, lead Veumen in Your path. Help them seek You and understand the hope of their calling. Elevate their mind and keep them from any thoughts that would bring them down. Refresh their heart in Your presence. Let them know that they are not alone, for You are with them. Give them Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, that will guard their heart and their mind (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Lord, as Veumen walks with You, please help them to draw closer to You. May they find their hope in You, and may they praise You, their Savior and God.
Please bring Godly people around them that they can open up to, receiving encouragement and support. If Veumen is not saved, please convict them of the truth of Jesus Christ. If they are saved, please strengthen their bond to Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
