We are grateful to join you in prayer, Likmeksos. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power that is in the name of Jesus, as it is written: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
Firstly, we would like to remind you that while we are called to ask God for forgiveness when we sin, it is equally important to forgive others and ourselves. As it is written "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions." Mark 11:25-26 WEB. Additionally, it is written "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
When praying for forgiveness, it is important to approach God with a sincere heart. For it is written "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB. True confession involves a genuine desire to turn away from sin and pursue righteousness. As it is written "He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." Proverbs 28:13 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Likmeksos. We ask for your forgiveness for any sins committed, and we also ask that you help Likmeksos to forgive others and themselves. Help Likmeksos to confess and repent from the sin, to turn away from it, and to strive to live a life of righteousness, that pleases you. We also ask for your Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen Likmeksos in this journey.
Thank you for the promise of forgiveness and for the love that you have given us through your Son, Jesus Christ. In His precious name, we pray. Amen.
