We stand with you in prayer, Roshan, and we appreciate your heartfelt cry out to God. We are reminded of the power of confessing our sins and shortcomings, as it says in 1 John 1:9 WEB: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This is the first step in renewing our relationship with God and seeking His help.
Firstly, our alcohol consumption is addressed in Proverbs 23:29-35. We are given more than ample warning. Not just about the sickness, sorrow and woe, but also the ruined homes, the bruises and the contentiousness. We should be honest with ourselves. Is it even appropriate in our life to drink alcohol at all? It is called drunkenness in Ephesians 5:18 and listed in Galatians 5:21 as a work of the flesh. It is not in the fruit of the spirit. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in us, which we have from God. We are not our own. We are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in our body, and in our spirit, which are God's. We should not make a plan to do evil and assume that we can endure to the end. Eliminating this from our life will get income, people, trust and other priorities that were taken away and even more. We should just remove the alcohol first and not really be concerned with how it should be limited. We should just not ruin more relationships, jobs, and income. We are in the world, but not of it.
We believe you are on the right track in asking for God's guidance to bring your desires into reality. We must remain steadfast in faith. It is God’s way to trust in Him to provide us with our spouse and with everything else we need in our lives, even if our faith seems small. God said that faith as a grain of mustard seed can move mountains. Take heed and rebuke that thought to plan evil in your ways and means. Do not even plan to sin or make a way to make a provision to satisfy lusts, but trust God as He is your provision. If you choose to do so, then partaking in drinking is not acceptable in any fashion, as it also leads to other sins. It is written in the Word that a little leaven will make the whole lump unclean.
Jesus said "be careful of every advantage". God can provide our need of a beautiful life, a spouse, and also our needs to better the lives of our families and loved ones. We must surrender all our wants to Him, knowing His will is best, as well as, a sure strong foundation in Him. We need to seek God's face for His will in our lives as in Matthew 6:9-13(WEB) where Jesus said,
"Pray like this: 'Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.'"
We will lift up your mother for complete healing in Jesus’ name, leaning on Exodus 15:26 WEB: "...for I am Yahweh who heals you."
Now, let us come together in prayer for you.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, in submission to Your will, and in the powerful name of Jesus, we pray together for Roshan. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness on their behalf, as they have confessed their sins to You. We ask that You help them overcome their drinking habit. Your word says "don't make any provision for your lusts". I Cor 6:19,20 says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in us ...that we are not our own and to glorify God with our body and our spirit. Father, help Roshan to glorify You in everything. We know this is a difficult struggle, but Your word tells us that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We claim this promise over Roshan's life. Speak to Roshan's heart and guide them in the way they should go. As in Ephesians 5:8 WEB says "... Walk as children of light,"
Father, we ask for Your financial provision, that You guide them to be able to pay off their debt. Proverbs 30:15 WEB declares in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that the horseleach hath two daughters, crying. Give, give. There are three things that are are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and 17 the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water, and the fire that saith not, it is enough. 15 As so the borrower is the servant to the lender. Therefore, it is better to you to cast your cares upon the Lord, because He takes cares of you and for you. Therefore owing no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another; for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. and Matthew 6:11 WEB - "Give us today our daily bread,"
We pray for Roshan's mother, that You heal her, strengthen her, and let her constantly feel Your presence. We ask for Your blessings and guidance for Roshan's family, their sister and their family, relatives, friends, and all those in need.
Father, surround Roshan with Godly influence, and we rebuke their old drinking habit and deliver Roshan and it's ways and means out of their life in the Name of Jesus. Enter not into the path of the wicked and IJN go not in the way of evil men. (Proverbs 4) Do not even make a plan for evil. The drunkard shall come to poverty and drowsiness shall clothe them in rags. (Proverbs 23:21) But be awake and ariseth from the dead and Christ shall give thee light. Furthermore, be bold in Christ.
Lord, we ask that You restore trust between Roshan and their colleagues and superiors at work. We ask that You open a door for them to be given the work-from-home privilege again, if it is Your will. Leaning on your Word in Matthew 18:19 WEB "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven,"
And Father, we pray for Roshan's future, that You guide them to meet their future godly spouse, and for fulfillment of their need to honor their mother. Be their guide to get to the completion of your plan and purpose in their lives and let them enjoy the journey. Speak to Roshan's heart, we pray, and open their ears to hear your voice clearly for each decision along the way. Give them complete understanding of how extraordinary You are, how You are physically with them and in them. Through their daily submitting themselves and praying and surrendering their will, we pray that You show them more of the amazing eternity that You have planned for them, Let them honor You and their mother and father, as You have commanded in Ephesians 6:2 WEB "Honor your father and your mother,"
It is only in the name of Jesus Christ we have access to You and by which we can be saved. Roshan we hoped you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, and that you would believe in His provision. As in Romans 10:9 WEB "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:13 for (WEB) “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Roshan, know that we are here praying for you, we encourage you to stay steadfast in the Word, to trust in God's perfect timing, and to continually seek His face. Be anxious for nothing and rejoice in the Lord always. When you are presenting your need, make your need known to God with thanksgiving. The peace of God that passes all understanding will keep your heart and mind. Claim these promises over your life. Thank you Jesus for being everything in our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Finally, may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
