We are glad that you have come seeking prayer and guidance.
]First, let us address the issue of smoking. While the Bible does not explicitly mention smoking, it does tell us to take care of our bodies and to honor God with them.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB: "Or donโt you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godโs."
Smoking harms our bodies, and it is important to treat our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to seek help in quitting smoking, trusting that God can give you the strength to overcome this habit. Be sure to confess this to Him and repent. Even if this is something that you feel you cannot do yourself, remember the promises of God. The Bible also tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
Concerning your request for forgiveness, remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them to Him.
1 John 1:9 WEB: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray for your forgiveness and for the strength to overcome the habit of smoking:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy for Likmeksos. Lord, they have confessed their sins to You, and we ask that You forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We also pray for Your help in overcoming the habit of smoking. Give them the strength and determination to quit, and help them to treat their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. We also pray that God would fight their battles, whatever they maybe, that their lives would reflect God's glory in overcoming the enemy in Jesus name. And all God's people will agree in Jesus name. Amen."
You have called your enemies. Which enemies that you are experiencing? Jesus told us in John 10:10 that "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." This is the goal of the enemy against all Christians and even non-Christians, but be assured that nothing will separate you from the love of Christ according to Romans 8:35. We understand that by enemies, you may be referring to the spiritual battles we all face, or you may be referring to personal adversaries. With regards to John 2:15-17, we are told not to love the world, neither the things that are in the world. Whoever loves the world, the love of the Father isnโt in them. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isnโt the Fatherโs, but is the worldโs. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does Godโs will remains forever. We are surrounded by enemies of Christ throughout our day-to-day media. Finally, we pray that you have trust that you have asked God to fight these battles for you. According to 2 Chronicles 20:15, Donโt be afraid, neither be dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but Godโs.
In response to ending the prayer request with "In Jesus' name," it is important to understand that prayer in the name of Jesus is powerful and aligns with the teachings of the Bible. In John 14:13-14 (WEB), Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
