We understand that you're feeling concerned and unsettled after seeing a suspicious person around your house. Let's turn to God's word for comfort and protection. "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB). And as it says "You shall not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flies by day (Psalm 91:5 WEB). Some people are just looking around the neighborhood to evaluate buying and moving to their new home. But some are looking to steal and take what they want. Let us discuss his three requests and pray over the situation. First, he asked us to pray that this person does not try anything against him. Unfortunately, though we cannot control others' actions, we can pray that God places his covering upon us, and His will be done. However, we are instructed by scripture to be prepared for any situation by wisely watching to guard ourselves and our property. Wise actions and protecting defenses to protect one's property are necessary for to live in this world. A protective dog, fencing, and cameras may be necessary to stop and possibly identify and catch anyone attempting to gain access to your property and to evidence anyone attempting to assess your belongings for value. Be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16 NIV) Do not allow yourself to be harmed by not considering available protection. Do not allow yourself to be deceived into thinking enough protection is praying, and turning the other cheek to allow thieves and other criminally motivated people to do what they wish with what God has provided you with. They may steal, destroy, or otherwise do harm to what God has provided. We, therefore, encourage you and pray God would spur you to shrewdly protect yourself.
Next, he directly asks for God's intervention to stop any plans the person may have and to quash it. To seek God's intervention, we must be known by God and be known by Jesus Christ. Romans 8:27 states that "He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because he makes intercession for the saints according to God." The Lord will certainly intercede for believers and protect the faithful. We are instructed about praying that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us and we have what we ask of him. If asking for protection is according to His will, He will provide his supernatural protection. However, if God desires wheels to be set in motion against you, any amount of prayer from God's people may not stop the will of God. God has allowed and used adversity to draw us to Him and depend on Him exclusively. His will may be in response to your life to seek Him exclusively instead of attempting to control your life and events. Nevertheless, God will not be mocked nor trifled with. His will will be done for your life with or without your intervention. Note, as some individuals harden their hearts towards God; God may withdraw His hedge of protection and allow others to destroy you and all that you may have. Therefore, we are told in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that if we turn from sins and wicked ways, God will forgive sins and heal your land. This verse follows the example of Solomon's Prayer of Dedication of the First Temple in Jerusalem. A vital concept in this prayer is that sin separates us from God and mankind and it is the cause of man's suffering. Any misfortune may be a result of God bringing healing to your life by delivering you from your unperceived sin and downfalls. Adversity will come to all of use believers. We may experience healings in different ways, but he will deliver us when we call upon his name and yield to his plan. May we continue to call out to Jesus Christ and hold to His word, knowing that ultimately we live for him and do things for God's glory. This is an awesome privilege to have and have this confidence in God's protection.
Let us pray for your safety. In Jesus' name. Dear Lord, we come before You, lifting up Likmeksos, asking for Your divine protection over his home, property, and family.
You instruct us to prepare ourselves by watching for the unexpected. Give him wisdom, Lord, to be vigilant and discerning. We binding the enemy and pronounce that no weapon formed against him will prosper. Lord, we ask that if the man does move forward, Your intervention follows the man, stopping the man and instead unfortunate events be turned for good. May his plan never come to pass if outside Your divine will. Finally, we pray against any spirit of fear, knowing that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and may he be spurred to equip himself with God's ordained armaments fit to protect and defend against potential earthly opponents. If Likmeksos has brought about any unwanted attention by his sin or wicked ways, create repentance and draw him closer to you. For it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. In Jesus Name. Amen
