We are truly sorry to hear about your financial struggles and the distress you are experiencing. We want to encourage you and remind you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your financial situation. In the Bible, the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
First, we want to address that the term prophet is not typically used in the New Testament as it was in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, we are all part of the body of Christ and can hear from God directly. We do this by allowing his spirit to dwell within us and hear his guidance. Ephesians 4:11-12 WEB talks of the gifts of the spirit and the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and the teachers. This is to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ. The New Testament teaches us to be cautious of false prophets and to test the spirits to see if they are from God 1 John 4:1 WEB.
It's important to note that financial breakthroughs or material wealth are not always a sign of God's favor, nor is poverty a sign of God's disfavor. God's blessings are often spiritual and eternal, not just material. Matthew 6:33 WEB reminds us, "But seek first the Kingdom of God and God's righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also want to encourage you to remember the importance of tithing and generous giving. Malachi 3:10 WEB says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says Yahweh of Armies, "and see if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for." Also, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 WEB reminds us, "Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows generously will also reap generously. Let each one give, just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Ehann who is in need of Your financial blessing and peace. Lord, You know the struggles and losses they have faced this year. We ask that You guide Ehann, provide the strength to endure and wisdom on how to proceed. Comfort Ehann's heart and mind in this time. We pray for a financial breakthrough, but more importantly, a spiritual breakthrough that Ehann would understand more deeply of your calling and love for each of us. Remind Ehann of Your promises and that You are the provider of all things. Guide Ehann to seek You first and Your righteousness, trusting that all needs will be met.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
