Likmeksos, we are lifted up your prayer request and stand with you in intercession. Firstly, it is commendable that you are acknowledging your actions as sin and turning away from them. However, we noticed that you did not specifically mention Jesus. It is only by his name that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" WEB.
God's forgiveness is abundant and readily available, but it is important to understand that true repentance involves a change of heart and mind, not just sorrow for the consequences of sin. As it is written in Acts 3:19 WEB, "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."
Fighting sin is a daily battle, 1 Peter 5:8 WEB
"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
We must be in constant prayer. We pray that God continues to strengthen you and give you the power to overcome sin.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Likmeksos. We thank you for your unending mercy and forgiveness. We confess that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We pray that you continue to forgive and cleanse from all sin. We pray that you give the power to overcome sin and live a life holy and pleasing. We ask this all in Jesus' name.
We encourage you to continue to walk in repentance and grow in the knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. If there is any specific sin that you are struggling with, please let us know so that we can pray more specifically for you.
If it is not addressed already, we encourage confession of sin to a local church minister or pastor for additional support and more specific prayer, accountability, and teachings. There is wisdom in the multitude of counselors and more help when we openly confess our faults to others. Although, we would also warn to use wise judgement as to who to confess too.
Remember, " For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13 WEB. Therefore, make sure to acknowledge Jesus in all prayers and confess Jesus is Lord and savior.
