Thank you, Roshan, for reaching out and sharing your prayer request with us. We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life.
Firstly, we commend you for coming in the name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me," and in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We pray that God will forgive your sins and strengthen your faith in Him. As you have confessed your sins, know that God is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 WEB.
Regarding your financial struggles, we pray that God will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory Philippians 4:19 WEB. Remember that God cares for you and knows your needs Matthew 6:31-33 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will guide you and provide for you. However, we must also be wise stewards of our finances and work diligently to pay off our debts Proverbs 22:7 WEB, Proverbs 6:6-11 WEB, 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB.
We lift up your mother in prayer, asking God to heal her, strengthen her, and be with her constantly Psalm 41:3 WEB, Isaiah 40:29 WEB, Matthew 28:20 WEB. We also pray for your family, friends, and all those in need, that God would bless them and guide them in His path Psalm 119:105 WEB, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
We address your drinking habits, Roshan. The Bible tells us to be sober-minded and self-controlled 1 Peter 5:8 WEB, 1 Peter 4:7 WEB. Drinking alcohol can lead to a lack of self-control and cause us to stumble in our walk with God Proverbs 23:20-21 WEB, Ephesians 5:18 WEB. We pray that God will give you the strength to overcome this habit completely and live a life of sobriety, honoring Him in all you do. So we are not asking God to help you reduce your drinking but that it will be completely removed so it is not controlling you as its master is not God if it is.
As for your desire to settle in life, live the precious life given by God and get married, this is good. We should get married in Gods way, to a woman who also loves God and the marriage should be for life to our spouse. You need to make sure the reason for marrying and the expectations of marriage align with the bible and not to satisfy our bodily desires. We ask for a godly spouse for you, someone who will love God, encourage, spur you closer to Him, honor and serve Him along side you in marriage. We should ask God about the courtship or relationship. Psalm 37:4 WEB, Proverbs 18:22, Proverbs 19:14 WEB, Proverbs 31:1 WEB.
Finally, we pray that God will help you to overcome all situations and guide you in His path. Remember that God is with you always, and He will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB, Hebrews 13:5 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Roshan in prayer. We thank You for his faith in You and ask that You would forgive his sins and strengthen his faith. Lord, we pray for Your provision in his life, that You would help him to overcome his debts and provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory.
We lift up Roshan's mother to You, asking for Your healing, strength, and constant presence in her life. We also pray for Roshan's family, friends, and all those in need, that You would bless them and guide them in Your path.
Lord, we pray for Roshan's deliverance from his drinking habits. Give him the strength to overcome completely and live a life of sobriety, honoring You in all he does. Help him to be sober-minded and self-controlled, not giving in to temptation.
We pray for Roshan's future, that You would guide him in Your path and help him to overcome all situations. We ask for Your guidance in his relationships to glorify you, that You would provide a godly spouse for him, someone who will love You, encourage, help and uplift him in marriage and honor You together with.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
