We rejoice with you that you are back in fellowship with God after being backslidden for 40 years. Indeed, it is by the grace of God that you are alive, and we give all the praise to the Lord for His mercy and loving kindness towards you, as he does with us all.
We are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 WEB, where Jesus tells the story of a son who took his inheritance of his father, squandered it, but repented and returned to his father asking to be one of the servants. The father saw the son returning from a way off, ran to him and kissed him much. Then the father celebrated with the best robe, a ring, and shoes. He threw a feast for his son and forgave all wrong which had been done. The father being a representation of our loving God who forgives us when we repent and return to Him as you did. Truly, you are a living example of this great mercy our Lord has.
We are lifting you up in prayer, asking God to help you with the physical, mental, and financial issues you are facing. We pray that God's will be done in your life and in all of our lives, as you have so beautifully expressed. Remember the words of Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." While difficulties are common to all, regardless of being saved or not, as listed in Job 14:1 WEB, we ask that God grant you sufficient resources and his mercy for your day-to-day needs and strengthen you in your struggles, upholding you in this grace and peace.
We also wish to encourage you to continue steadfastly in your walk with the Lord. If you are a part of a Bible believing local church, we encourage you to engage with other believers. Continue to share your testimony, which will bless and encourage your brothers and sisters. As you draw closer to God remember James 4:8 WEB, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." It is so beautiful that you acknowledged that it is in Jesus' name that we pray and come to God. For it is only by Jesus that we are saved and can approach the Father's throne. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me John 14:6 WEB. We leave you with this final verse from the Psalm 68:19-20 WEB "Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. God is to us a God of deliverance. To God the Lord belong the issues of death."
Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is facing physical, mental, and financial struggles. We ask for Your divine intervention, healing, and provision. Strengthen their faith and give them the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to continue steadfastly in their walk with You. You know exactly what they need in each of these areas due to your foreknowledge, so we corporately wait and pray for your answer as you will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
