We understand that you are facing a difficult time with your financial situation and employment, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God is faithful and cares for you. It is important to acknowledge that all of our needs are met in Jesus Christ. We should go to God through Jesus Christ with our petitions.
Praise the Lord. We are instructed by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
And just as importantly in Philippians 4:19: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together,
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ### to you. We pray that you will provide for your child's needs and help them secure a job according to your will. We trust in your promise to supply every need. We ask you to provide for ### and forgive their debts. We can forgive others so we can be forgiven. We have faith that you will honor your word.
We also pray for ###'s emotional well-being. Cast out the spirit of depression, and replace it with the peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that you fill the heart of your child with hope and this is only by the name of Jesus which is the name above all names. Surround ### with your love.
It is important to remember Christ's own words in Matthew 11:28-30 WeB:
Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart;
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
We also turn to the instructions of Jesus Christ in John 14:13-14 WEB:
And whatever you will ask in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
