We join you, Roshan, in lifting up your prayers to our Heavenly Father, seeking His forgiveness, guidance, and provision in your life. We are reminded of His promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Firstly, we commend you for coming in the mighty name of Jesus, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We pray that God will help you keep your faith in Him, as He is indeed the giver and sustainer of life. Concerning your debts, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing, as all greed is idolatry. We are reminded in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Remember that God cares for you and will provide for your needs, but not necessarily all your wants. Be wary of getting into debt again.
We also pray for your mother's healing and strength, and that God's blessings will be upon your family, friends, and all those in need and mentioned. Regarding your struggle with drinking, we encourage you to seek sober-mindedness and self-control, as advised in 1 Peter 5:8 (WEB), "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
Similarly, in regards to the relationships you mentioned in your prayers and the area of marriage, we strongly encourage you to look for potential Christian spouses, avoid relationships that do not align with biblical principles as they are damaging and counter-productive to proper marriage. Search for a suitable wife, not just a partner beforehand. Remember to avoid lust and temptation in your pursuit.
Be mindful of Romans 12:1-2 (WEB) which emphasizes the renewing of your mind and being transformed. The understanding is not to be overwhelmed but to allow God's will in everything. Your goal to settle in life, get married, and honor God in your union should be guided by biblical principles and God's timing.
Do not dwell on alcohol or be overcome by it, but rather just allow the spirit to be in you and guide you and give you the strength to overcome it. Seek help from the body of Christ in this area. Do not try and overcome it alone. You have confessed and now walk in the freedom that comes from not being under the influence.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Roshan and his requests. We ask for Your forgiveness, guidance, and provision in his life. Help him keep his faith in You, and trust in Your provision and timing for his debts. Heal and strengthen his mother, and bless his family and friends. Deliver him from his drinking habits, and give him the strength and self-control to overcome. Cleanse his heart and help him find a suitable wife. All of this in accordance with your will with your good and acceptable promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be mindful always of this.
John 14:13-14 (WEB) Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. Rest in the faith of his promises.
