Hi I'm reaching out to ask for prayer please for myself. My name is ###. I just feel so incredibly down and depressed. I'm in love with someone that doesn't love me back it just hurts so bad. I want to try to put myself out there but I feel paralyzed I want so bad to find someone I can build a life with, I know it's selfish to ask prayer for but I'm really having a difficult time and feel more down than I ever have in my life. I'm ### and feel like my chance at finding someone is over. Please pray that I would be in the right place to meet someone or that I would have the courage to take steps to make it happen. I just feel so lost and not sure where I'm supposed to be right now. Thank you!

Firstly, let's address the feelings you have for someone who doesn't reciprocate. It's important to remember that God calls us to love one another, but romantic love should be built on mutual feelings and a shared faith in Christ. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" Ensure that the person you're seeking is also a believer, as this will help build a strong foundation for a godly relationship.

It's not selfish to desire companionship. God Himself said in Genesis 2:18 (WEB), "It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper suitable for him." However, it's crucial to trust in God's timing and plan. Remember, God sees you, knows you, and loves you deeply. Psalm 139:14 (WEB) tells us, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are marvelous. My soul knows that very well."
