We join you, dear brother or sister, in lifting up your family to our Heavenly Father, for He is good and His love endures forever. Let's pray together:
"Lord Jesus, we come before You, giving thanks for Your unending goodness and mercy towards our families. We claim Your promise in Psalm 4:8, 'I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for You, Lord, only make me dwell in safety.' We ask for Your blanket of peace to cover our households and for physical healing and godly rest for each family member.
Concerning the injustice of human trafficking, we echo the cry of Psalm 10:17-18, 'Lord, You listened to the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause Your ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.' We pray for exposure of these evils, healing, and protection for the captives.
For our trust in You, Lord, we pray it grows stronger each day. Remembering Your words in Proverbs 3:5-6, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.' We ask for Your wisdom and blessings in our family finances as well.
Lastly, we pray for godly rest, knowing that it is only in You, Jesus, that we find true rest for our souls, as You promised in Matthew 11:28-29, 'Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls.'
It is in Your precious name, Jesus, that we pray, for You are the mediator between us and God, as it is written in 1 Timothy 2:5, 'For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' It's only by Your name that we can be saved and have access to the Father.
Amen."
We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He hears the prayers of His children. Keep standing in the gap for your family and those who are oppressed, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16, WEB). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
